Overview of publicly offered research
In a nutshell, this project aims to freely create hybrid quasiparticles (chimera quasiparticles) from various quasiparticles in materials and explore their novel physical properties. We welcome applications from a wide range of research fields (not limited to the research fields of the members of the project or the research topics listed on the website) that contribute to the project’s goals in a broad sense.
FY2025 Application (Research period 2025-2026)
Research Group Number | Research Group | Upper Limit of Annual Budget (per fiscal year) |
---|---|---|
A01 | Theory of chimera quasiparticles | Maximum application amount per year: 3 million yen (for experimental research with a relatively large budget) or 2 million yen (for small-scale experimental research, theoretical research, or exploratory research based on a fresh idea). |
B01 | Chimera quasiparticles: Architecture | |
B02 | Chimera quasiparticles: Physics | |
B03 | Chimera quasiparticles: Molecular science | |
C01 | Chimera quasiparticles: Electronics |
*FY2025 Application (Research period 2025-2026)
The details of the first-term call are indicated in the following document (p.56): Application Procedures for Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research-KAKENHI- for FY2025 (Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas(A)(Publicly Offered Research))
Please note that the link will be broken when the PDF is updated. Please also refer to the MEXT page regarding the Guidelines for Public Calls for Proposals and the Research Plan. The deadline for the application is mid-September in 2024, the same as Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research. Specific deadlines vary from institution to institution. The term of the publicly offered research is two years, and the maximum application amount per year is 3 million yen (for experimental research with a relatively large budget) or 2 million yen (for small-scale experimental research, theoretical research, or exploratory research based on a fresh idea). Please note that the maximum application amount per fiscal year is not the total amount for the entire research period (two years) but the amount per fiscal year (one year).
